You can now access PointlessProgrammers.com from your mobile device with a theme fit for mobile screens.
I will post a tutorial about how easy it is to do this.

P.s. This is still in a beta-ish stage, so bare with as I get it fully working.
In this post I will be showing how web developers can take their webapps and “transforming” them into full fledged iPhone apps with Phonegap.
Well lets get started. Firstly you are going to need two things:
1. Phonegap
2. My modified JQTouch Todo example demo
Once both of those files are downloaded. Open the Phonegap folder, once inside, open the the “iPhone” folder. You should see this:
Open the “www” folder and delete everything in there. Now drag and and drop all the files in the “webstuff” folder into the “www” folder. Open the Xcode file and you should see this:
Now if you “Build and Go” you will have a full fledged native iPhone app made just with HTML and Javascript. Here is what you get:
Now this is just one example of what you could do. If you are a web developer and you already have a webapp out there that you would like to make into an iPhone app, this makes it simple to port anything you have made. You can even submit these to Apple to be put on the App Store.
If you really want to get a full release out, there are a few extra steps you are going to need to take. First, replace the Default.png and icon.png. The Default.png is the “splash screen” picture, by default it says “Phonegap” and the icon.png file is (obviously) the icon picture.
Lastly, when porting a webapp, website, or anything, you want to have a nice clean UI. So I recommend using JQTouch, iUI, or iWebKit to give your app a nice iPhone-ish finish.

To start out with you are going to need a few things. You need to have a base knowledge of PHP, and a web host that allows you to upload files. For my app, I used my own web host, but I am sure there are some free hosts that will allow you to do that somewhere out there. Well, lets get started.
First, you are going to need your cell phones email address, which you can find here.
Next, copy and paste this code into your favorite text editor.
Now put your phone’s email address inside the quotes in this line:
$to="your phones email address here";
Once you have done that save the file as “whateveryouwant.php.” If you plan on using a free hosting service, you may have to try a few different services before you find one that will work, if you do, please leave a comment with a link.
So now upload that script to your web host and try it out. I used a short ringtone as something try out to make sure it worked.
Once you are sure it works, download Mozilla’s Prism. Once that is downloaded and installed, put the URL to your script int the URL box and finish setting everything up. If you need extra help, see Chris Pirillo’s Video about Prism.
Now that has been done, to give it a nice finish, I went online and found a nice picture of the phone I have, cropped the picture so it is just the phone and finished up.
Now you are done, you may now send any file to your phone from your computer.

P.S. If you are running Mac OS X, you may use Fluid instead of Prism.
I was reading a magazine the other day and came across an article about this game engine. It is called the Torque Game Engine. With it, you can make games for Mac, PC, iPhone, Xbox 360, and the Wii. You can download the free trial and check out the documentation.
If you ever need help with anything from Security, to a Cisco cert, to how to design your website. Check out Dyar Help.
After working with the iPhone SDK, and reading bits and pieces of the iPhone Developer Cookbook (thanks George). I have created a Password Generator, Amazon Book Search, and a Weather App.
If you like the site and have found it helpful, the apps will be available on the App Store for 99 Cents (US Dollars) when I relieve the email from Apple with my Info. All proceeds go to hosting the site and buying equipment to make this site work.
I will post links when they are up.
Breaking News: t8trtot Would Actually Take Pleasure in A PC.
Now calm down you diehard PC fanboys, im not dissing on the PC’s. I’m a diehard fangirl for Apple..but this here would be 1 exception. I usually don’t like using windows at all. In short; I’ve used them for the last past 11 yrs and all I have had was bad experiences. Thats why when you search my house the only windows you’ll see are on the walls, honestly I have a question for Microsoft. How can you have windows without walls. Life without walls; life without windows. And that motto right there is how I considered my computers no walls..no windows, just apple.
I currently own a MacBook(previous version) and have always thought about sending out to convert it into a Modbook. So in my wildest dreams I’ve considered owning a tablet..just not a PC. Although this all changed when this beauty came out.
I love the very essence of having a desktop computer with touch capability. And the computer itself is very appealing, which is very important to me. Its thin, sleek design is like eyecandy. I love the wireless mouse and keyboard, which also looking very nice. And then the part of knowing you can touch. Usually with computer screens its look but don’t touch…not here, not at all. It seems to be begging to be touched. And the price is very considerable given the fact my macbook cost more than that. Call me crazy, but this will be 1 PC I will go check out.
Although you will not get a degree, this will come in handy if you are doing a certification or just want to learn, it’s even got exams.
The new Vertu Boucheron 150 is made of solid gold in celebration of the Boucheron jewelry house in Paris 150th Anniversarry. According to the designer is took 2,200 hours to build to cut into shape, hand polish and build this masterpiece. If this phone doesn’t scream luxiourisous overload, I don’t know what does. No official details, including price have been released just yet. Honestly, in my personal opinion, the thing looks more like a crumpled Willy Wonka Ticket than a phone.

Office Depot has just recently announced that they too will be closing underperforming stores. Over the next 3 months they will close down 112 stores throughout the nation. To deal with the struggling economy’s woes, many companies, banks, and stores of all different kinds have been forced to cut back. Roughly 90% of Office Depot’s store locations will be closing. It will also be closing 33 of its Northern division stores.
